So good! It's not even a matter of desk jobs anymore. We have all become so sedentary.

Thank you! Yes, we really have, creating health problems that don’t have to be there!

Thanks so much for this. I'm turning 70 in a few months and am getting really committed to my fitness routine for the first time in my life. I'll look forward to future posts. One ergonomic tip that really helped me - years ago I was having much pain from carpal tunnel syndrome and was on the verge of asking my doctor about surgery. I switched to a vertical mouse instead. Presto! The pain went away in about a week. .Our bodies were just not built for the unnatural hand and arm position required to use a regular mouse. The handshake approach to a vertical mouse is much more natural.

Oooh yes! You've just reminded me, my left hand mouse is a vertical one! (I have a right hand mouse, too, lol). Though I did experience a bit of RSI with that also at first. Takes some getting used to but once adjusted - great! Glad to hear you've committed to a fitness routine - what does it involve currently?

Thank you for such an informative post! We should definitely think more about our backs and movement! Especially today, when we spend too much time sitting.

I'm so glad that you found it useful! Yes, so many back problems can be avoided with simply more movement and some strengthening 💪☺️

Too many years sat in front of the computer has caused me back pain, so I will be starting more walking as well as these two simple exercises. Many thanks.

Thanks Craig! Let me know how you get on with them and if you start noticing an improvement!

I'm guilty of coming home and just sitting down after sitting down in the job all day. I will try to do some of your exercise recommendations! Finding the motivation though.....

Thanks for commenting. Really hope the suggestions can help you! I would say it’s more about discipline than motivation - just make it a habit like brushing your teeth.
